The main responsibilities of the Head of Global Contract and Risk Management are to facilitate the development and continuous improvement of contract and risk management in the Construction Regions. The goal is to support the Construction Regions in effectively developing and executing projects to reduce risks, costs and losses and improve the Construction Regions' ability to deliver projects in line with the organisation's goals and strategies.

To establish best practices for contract and risk management by collaborating with the Construction Regions and standardising existing processes across the Construction Regions. This includes harmonising and simplifying processes to strengthen the NCR recovery process.

Responsibilities

  • Identify gaps in customer commitments and minimise those jointly with the Construction Regions and relevant Group Functions such as Contract Risk
  • Implement a Global Lessons Learnt regime for continuous improvement of processes and enhancement of Vestas' position towards customer commitments
  • SME for Construction related material risk deviations and approver as part of the SCM process
  • Provide Construction Regions training of Contract Managers, Contract Administrators, Risk Managers and other relevant support functions in Construction
  • Collaboration with Vestas Global Insurance Department for cross-pollination of management processes, especially risk management
  • Facilitate implementation of risk management as part of the contract management processes across the Construction Regions
  • Developing risk management standards, policies, and procedures, including risk management workshops
  • Training and educating the Construction organisation to create continuous awareness of contract and risk management

Qualifications

  • Suitable construction related qualification with bachelor's degree or master's degree as a preference
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the field of complex construction contract/commercial/risk management
  • International experience with extensive experience in supporting large scale EPC Projects/Offshore or complex renewable projects
  • Claims Management experience, with in-depth knowledge of delay and disruption claims
  • Project risk management experience

  • Ability to work and develop initiatives and tasks individually with limited supervision
  • Ability to excel in an exciting and complex work environment

You will be required to travel around 100 days
